Recipient of the 2009 CASV Emerging Artist Award (selcted by Daina Augaitis, Attila Richard Lukacs and Rod Roodenburg) Kitty Blandy is a London-born, Vancouver based artist who exhibits in both locations. Since her first solo show in London in 1986 the artist established a dedicated following, particularly in printmaking. Exhibitions with the Printmakers Council UK and Malaspina Printmakers Society Vancouver were instrumental in her early career, as was her representation by Lumley Cazalet (later Catherine Hodgkinson) established print dealers who exhibited her work for over two decades, especially at the London Original Print Fair for ten consecutive years.

Blandy works predominantly with drawing, print and sculpture, on explorations of extreme physiognomic form and states-of-being. Her recent work, explores anthropomorphism and the human/animal hybrid.
Blandy’s work is included in private and public collections, notably the National Portrait Gallery, London (bronze).
