Within his art practice, Jeremy Hof combines materials and disciplines to create fresh visual alternatives, which utilize the sensibilities of minimalism, aesthetics, and perceptual optics. The impetus for his work begins with a commonplace of banal material object; the objects range from commercially produced building constituents to found obsolete technologies. Hof employs a structured methodology to the given material or object that results in a systematic and labour intensive process. Throughout the entire creative process Jeremy Hof maintains the mandate of creating a beautiful and/or pleasurable viewing experience.
