Adam Harrison is amongst a new generation of Vancouver photographers who bring fresh perspectives to the city’s acclaimed traditions with work that examines the nature of perception and visibility. The artist states, “by attempting to represent visibility, each picture becomes a
self-reflective meditation on its own making, and it own nature.” His work addresses and challenges the history of photography and picture-making through a self-reflexive mediation on the technical, cognitive and phenomenological aspects of his pictures.
