Join the CASV for the third installment of its Art Tours exploring different areas of Vancouver. This time we will set our sights over the Lionsgate Bridge and onto the North Shore for a visit to two spaces and a reception at the end.

We will be visiting three Exhibitions at the Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art:

Figurative Contemplation in the main Gallery, Accidentally on Purpose an exhibition by Ross Penhall in the Mezzanine and Process Galleries, and the Artist for Kids Gallery. Gallery director Astrid Heyerdahl will tour CASV Members through the galleries and also give the CASV a peak into the GSGCA’s art collection.

Following our visit to the Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art we will head over to Presentation House Gallery to explore their current exhibition: We are continuously exposed to the flashbulb of death: the photographs of Allan Ginsberg (1953-1996). We will also have the opportunity to discuss the exciting developments for a new home for the gallery during the reception that will follow.

The days events will start promptly at 2pm, please ensure you arrive a bit early so we can begin on time.
