CASV Members One Hundred Artists Deep – Curator Tour

Location: The Gordon Smith Gallery, 2121 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver

This curator-led tour introduces One Hundred Artists Deep, an exhibition that connects works from the Artists for Kids Permanent Collection with new responses by eight contemporary local artists. Valentine-Lewis shares her curatorial vision and insights into the exhibition’s development.

The tour explores how participating artists respond to works by Bill Reid, Jack Shadbolt, and Gordon Smith, presented together to create a dialogue across generations.

Focusing on mentorship, legacy, and artistic influence, the exhibition reflects on how creative knowledge is carried forward—echoing Smith’s idea of being “a hundred artists deep.”
