Please join the Contemporary Art Society of Vancouver in conversation with local writer and critic, Steffanie Ling on Saturday May 27, 2017. We will be reviewing Steffanie’s latest book Nascar, as well as her upcoming projects, including a short-play to be presented at the 2nd Kamias Triennial in the Philippines. Tea, coffee and tapas will be provided by the CASV.

 

We recommend that you pick up a copy of Nascar to read before the event if you havn’t already done so. The book is available at Pulpfiction Books (2422 Main Street), Paper Hound (344 W Pender Street) and the Or Gallery (555 Hamilton Street). Steffanie will be signing books at our event!

Steffanie Ling is a producer of criticism, pamphlets, stories, essays, exhibitions, reviews, bluntness, anecdotes, shout outs, wrestling storylines, proposals, applications, jokes, readings, minimal poems, poems, dinner, compliments, and diatribes. Her books are CUTS OF THIN MEAT (Spare Room, 2015) and NASCAR (Blank Cheque, 2016). She is currently at work on a short-play to be presented at the 2nd Kamias Triennial (Philippines) and a book of poetry based on meals taken in Singaporean food courts, which will be accompanied by the work of artist Juli Majer.
