Conversations on Collecting: Transformational Legacies

VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation’s Art Advisory Commitee and the Contemporary Art Society of Vancouver warmly invite you to a private, behind-the-scenes tour of the Vancouver General Hospital Art Collection, guided by Katharine Knowles, Art Collection Curator.

For over 25 years, art has brought colour, comfort, and inspiration to our health-care centres. Today, more than 2,800 artworks—from vibrant abstractions to serene coastal landscapes—enliven the halls of Vancouver General Hospital, UBC Hospital, and GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre.

Together, we’ll explore how art transforms clinical spaces into places of reflection, solace, and wonder. Enjoy exclusive access to a staff-only area showcasing a Robert Rauschenberg light box that’s helping support physician engagement and wellness.
