Miriam is a Vancouver based international artist and has travelled extensively and worked in visual arts for over 20 years. As an artist she has explored and developed a very comprehensive body of work in different media such as sculpture, painting and photography. She exhibits both nationally and internationally, and she has gallery representation in Canada, USA and Mexico. Miriam holds a degree from Emily Carr where she is presently studying photography. She manages her own innovative company “Miriam Aroeste Fine Art Consulting” sourcing and selling fine art for private and corporate clients specializing in local Canadian art, but working with international artists as well. She has also worked for the Vancouver Art Gallery managing their Art Rentals and Sales department. In 2007, she was voted “Best Art Consultant in Vancouver” by the Georgia Straight. In 2010, Aroeste was selected to source all the artwork for the Olympic Village VIP offices, lounges and other common areas at the Winter Olympic Games. Miriam presently sits at the North Vancouver Public Art Advisory Board and the Vancouver Biennale Advisory Board. Tej is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience working in the utilities sector as a Finance Manager. His expertise ranges from budgeting and forecasting to dealing with financial controls and complex accounting issues. Tej has demonstrated interest in working in the non-profit sector and he has been Treasurer of the Board since March 2013. Tej and his wife, Nancy, joined the CASV in November of 2012.

Michaela holds over five years of experience working in art administration and as an independent curator. She has previously held positions at Macaulay & Co. Fine Art, chART: Public Art Marpole and Gallery Gachet.
Programming Co-Chair–Lesley Anderson
Lesley is an artist currently living in Vancouver, B.C. She received a BFA from Emily Carr University in 2009 and an MFA from Concordia University, Montreal, Q.C. in 2015. She has shown her work in public art spaces, artist run centers, universities, municipal art galleries and abroad. She is currently represented by gallery Laroche/Joncas in Montreal.
Programming Co-Chair–Jennifer Johnson
Jennifer began her career in the arts studying Art History at UBC and collaborating on projects with local artists from Emily Carr. With a keen interest in business, her studies expanded to Marketing at BCIT, and Community Engagement at SFU. Tobin Gibson is an independent curator currently living and working in Vancouver. He has previously held positions at Presentation House Gallery (North Vancouver), The Apartment (Vancouver) and Maureen Paley (London, UK).
Emerging Artist Prize Chair–Sande Waters
Sande lives and works in Deep Cove, North Vancouver. She received her B.F.A from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2006 and her M.F.A from San Francisco Art Institute in 2009. She is the Vice President on the Board of Directors at the Seymour Art Gallery, North Vancouver.
